Statistical Tables for Biographical Information

Statistical tables are included under the 'Statistics' tab of the Yearbook Online to complement the biographical information given on individuals. They include:
8.1. Birth dates of international organization officers
8.2. Birth dates of international organization officers
8.3. Citizenship of international organization officers
8.4. Languages spoken by international organization officers
8.5. Languages most commonly spoken by international organization officers
8.6. Combinations of languages most common among international organization officers
8.7. Multi-lingualism among international organization officers
8.8. Gender of international organization officers
8.9. Subjects of interest of international organization officers
8.10. Regions of interest of international organization officers
In order to enhance the picture presented by the statistical tables, in some cases certain assumptions were made on the basis of name. While the inclusion of some of these items of information can be questioned, the editors maintain that, in some circumstances, all of this information can be useful to users. In addition, as one of the intentions of this collection is to produce a picture of the kind of people serving in significant positions in international organizations, statistics based on personal information serve a particular purpose. If a biographee requested that certain information be excluded then the editors made every effort to respect this request.
